screencasts?
how are you making these? can they be made under Linux?
Love it
Very cool, you're making it very easy for those of slower mindset such as myself pick Linux up. Reading never seems as easy as watching, and experimenting is too frustrating... these strike a nice balance.
Keep up the good work!
chipsets?
Excellent! Just one small note, though: At some point you mention the CD images are available for different chipsets (when you probably mean "CPU architecture" or such), which will probably confuse some people. Also, you might want to provide the URL for the ImgBurn software somewhere. http://www.imgburn.com/ I think.
Other than that, great stuff!
Great
Enjoyed watching. Very clear. Sorry to bring up this point, but the actual title should read "New Screencast: Downloading and Burning a Ubuntu ISO" not an Ubuntu ISO.
That depends on how you
That depends on how you pronounce it surely?
Awesome!
I agreee with the other people who have left comments - this is an awesome project! Keep up the good work!
Amazing!
Ive showed some of my windows friends this video, and they are like wow!
Nice job dude,
James.
these screen casts are just
these screen casts are just getting better and better Popey.
I wish these were about when I first started looking at Ubuntu 6/7 months back
Why thank you!
I do sometimes wonder if I am doing the right thing. Comments like this help :)
Alan's Screencasts are the best! :o)
Alan, your screencasts are superb. I just wish there were more of them please please please keep the comming. Theres a lot of us out here who get totally lost with the CLI and trying to find help is a big problem as mostly it gets too geeky for us to follow. It's rather frustrating that Ubuntu is so close to being the ideal replacement for Windows users like me who do not want to go to Vista.
(Actually I've been trying to go to Linux for several years but I've just not found it user friendly enough and very hard to find anyone who uses Linux that I can speak with to help me use any of the Distros)
How about a screencast showing how we integrate a Ubuntu PC into a Windows workgroup so e can share the files across a home network.
