Mixing A Podcast In Ardour - Part 1
Mixing A Podcast In Ardour - Part 1
Submitted by Alan Pope on Tue, 2008-07-22 20:29.

The first of a 13-part series created by Tony Whitmore detailing how to mix a podcast in Ardour on Ubuntu. It was created initially so that members of the Ubuntu UK LoCo team could take part in the Ubuntu UK Podcast. However it was decided to release them because they may be useful to other podcasters, or those wishing to learn more about mixing in Ardour.
In part 1
- A brief introduction to the applications used
- Some tips on setting up the environment
Note: This screencast was originally recorded at a resolution of 2560 by 1024, so is in a very wide screen format. If you have a small screen we recommend you view the lower resolution versions of the video.

Pace is way too slow
Hi.
Seeing this series available gave me thrills... at last somebody took his time to properly demo ardour. Thanks from everybody.
Please see this as constructive, I have this complain, the pace is soooooo slow, can't stand to listen, it feels like you're trying to give the impression that mixing a podcast is a long and tedious job. For next screencasts, please, avoid repeating yourself over and over again (fiddling with segment fade-outs and placements in Part IV for a good example), the audience will thank you.
Thanks again,
